The Windmill
Gold leaf fascias and windows, signwritten wayfinding and painted faux ‘ghost sign’s’ for The Windmill pub in Waterloo.
Fascia signs gilded in 23ct gold leaf, and combined with a hand painted 26ft faux ghost-sign stretching across the upper half of the building and utilising the bricked-in panel on the corner of the pub.
The gold leaf text, stretching across 9 windows, is applied with a Chicago-gild technique and green outline in keeping with the colour scheme of the exterior.
‘Windmill & Co. Bread & Flour’ beer garden sign was designed in a tribute to the historic mill industry on The Cut, and painted in an aged faux ‘ghost sign’ style.
